About Liz Allison

Clinical Redesigner BECAD at North West London Hospitals NHS Trust (NWLHT). Liz trained as a RGN at St. Thomas' Hospital. After qualifying in 1992, she moved to Central Middlesex Hospital where in 1994 she helped set up the Acute Assessment Unit and in 1997 the Critical Care Unit where much of the care was managed using clinical pathways and extended skills. Liz joined the Quality team in 1998, where the emphasis is to focus on redesign and to manage process using pathways as a key tool. She also worked with the London Learning Partnership, part of the NHS Learning Network, to create and support a group of clinicians interested in improving acute services by spreading good practice across the London region. She is currently leading on the clinical redesign of the new acute hospital at Central Middlesex.
