Senior Lecturer in Management and Leadership at St John College, York. He has worked as a management development consultant since 1987, concentrating mainly on leadership development for senior and middle managers and developing flexible learning systems. He has worked with middle managers from a range of different industries, including manufacturing, banking, local and central government and the health service. He joined the College in 1997 and also continues to work as an independant consultant. He is author of A Complete Guide to Learning Contracts and co-author of Mental Models for Managers.
