About Barbara Workman

Principal Lecturer in the School of Health and Social Sciences. She gained her first experiences of work based learning as a clinical teacher in the Acute health care sector and was involved in the training of Health Care Assistants in an acute Trust when they were first introduced in the early 1990s, and more recently introduced training for Health Care Assistants working in general practices within Primary Care Trusts in North Central London. Barbara joined Middlesex University in 1995 and began working with Work Based Learning Health Care and Nursing students from 1999. She is currently Student Accreditation Coordinator within the SChool of Health and Social Sciences and is a valuable resource to staff, students and external applicants. Barbara's interests include learning clinical skills, experiental learning and accreditation and she has recently led the Work Based Learning Masters programmes in Service Improvement and Leadership.
