Director of the Centre for Leadership Development at the University of York since it came into being in 1995. During the 1980s, she was Director of Training and Education at the Centre for Personal Construct Psychology in London. On moving to York in 1987 she worked in the NHS as an Organisation Development Specialist with Yorkshire Regional Health Authority. She was particularly responsible for directing a nationally recognised programme for Doctors and Managers during this time. Together with Mary Connor at York St. John College, she designed the MA in Leading Innovation and Change.
She continues to work both for the University of York and as an independant consultant and psychotherapist.
